The Patriot Game has the support of the Metro Chief of Police, Col. Robert C. White, and the Louisville Fire Department Chief, Col. Gregory W. Frederick. It includes pre-game and half time special activities and ceremonies. Proceeds benefit The Healing Place, Louisville’s largest shelter/addiction recovery program.
Sponsorship of the Patriot Game provides a unique opportunity for a select group of corporate citizens to demonstrate their support for these men and women who serve our community, and at the same time benefit The Healing Place and the homeless men, women and families it serves.
Re: September 11, 2007
It is hard to believe, but September 11 will be the sixth anniversary of the attack on New York City’s Twin Towers. The loss of some 3,000 Americans, including many police and firefighters, is still as vivid in our minds as the smoke billowing from the falling towers.
We will remember and honor those who serve. That’s why The Healing Place has scheduled Patriot Game V to be played Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Mayor Jerry Abramson has designated Patriot Game V as an official commemorative event for Metro Louisville.
To All Potential Sponsors and Patrons,
As leaders of our community’s men and women in uniform, we are proud to once again announce the Patriot Game, a charity basketball game between the Louisville Metro Police Department and the Louisville Fire Department.
This celebrated event will accomplish three goals: commemorate the fallen heroes of the Police and Firefighters of New York City during the tragic events of September 11, 2001; honor the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department and Louisville Fire Department; and raise needed funds for The Healing Place.
The Healing Place provides the only non-medical detox available for Police and Fire personnel to deal with intoxicated persons. The business community benefits, as we do, from this relationship with The Healing Place. Therefore, we thank you for your support of this effort and we are honored by your partnership.
While only one team will maintain bragging rights as Patriot Game champion for the year, the true winner will be our entire community.
